Carly Rae Jepsen is a Canadian artist born on 21 November, 1985, in the Mission area of British Columbia. As a child Carly Rae started to play music. It was at high school when she began participating in talent competitions held locally. When she finished high school, her first stop was the Canadian College of Performing Arts was the next destination. The year 2007 was the year she auditioned for the fifth season of Canadian Idol and made it to the Top 3. The album she released her debut Tug of War was released in 2008, following the end of Canadian Idol. It reached 6th place on the Canadian Albums Chart. The second album Kiss was released in 2012. The album produced Call Me Maybe, a popular song. This single became a global success, topping charts and selling over 15 million copies across 18 countries. Since then, she's released three more albums and has won multiple awards which include two Grammy nominations. Carly Rae Jepsen has earned an impressive amount of money through her music career.
